Offshore

Offshore

Overview

You can't miss these boats. Offshore racing has the largest boats from bow to aft in boat racing. The smallest Offshore boats start at 30 ft and can reach over 50 ft. in length. These race boats, which are typically run by a driver and throttleman, are some of the most commonly raced boats in Europe and are quickly becoming just as popular in the United States. Beginning racing in 1911, Offshore racing was held predominantly along all coasts with minimal inland racing. In 2013, the name Offshore is still used but racing these boats can be done in any body of water across the United States, large enough to house these beasts.
